I bought this on Ebay a week ago. My old rabbit ears work better. Don't waste your money.
I bended a paper clip in L shape and inserted the longer side into the TV antenna socket, I got many local channels, there maybe more but I'm satisfied as long as I have local news and weather.

Great antenna, I use this brand one on a radio and a powered one my AV reciever.

Both pull in stations weak and strong for me.

With digital broadcasting you need line of sight to the transmitters.

http://www.antennasdirect.com/blo...-antennas/

The digital TV signal is a 'line of sight' signal. Typically, the higher you have your antenna, the better the reception. While signals pass through walls and other surfaces, the more obstructions the signal encounters, the weaker the signal and this causes signal disruption. The clearest, most unobstructed view to the broadcast towers will allow the antenna to perform at the highest level.

living in a brick basement, I'm guessing this isn't the best model.

i bought the eBay one from last week. Amplifier works well to bring in stations I wasn't getting with my other rabbit ear units.
