I got 10% bonus FoodPerks after watching the whole video. You can also refer friends for extra bonus.

Must have your advantage card number to register.

http://www.get-go.com/Article.aspx?cntid=197275

foodperks!™ Promotional Terms & Conditions
A Giant Eagle Advantage Card® is required to participate. Limit one foodperks!™ discount reward per household. Households that have previously received a foodperks!™ reward are ineligible for additional foodperks!™ discount rewards. Tell-a-Friend rewards are applied to your Giant Eagle Advantage Card® when your referred Friend visits foodperks.com and watches the foodperks!™ video to completion. Tell-a-Friend rewards are based on availability and are subject to change. Giant Eagle® reserves the right to discontinue the reward and this promotion at any time. foodperks!™ rewards will expire three months after the last day of the month in which they’re earned. Limit one foodperks!™ coffee reward per household. Rewards for a free 12 oz. cup of GetGo® coffee expire 14 days from the date loaded on to the Giant Eagle Advantage Card® and is redeemable only at participating GetGo® locations. foodperks!™ discounts are redeemable at participating Giant Eagle®, Market District® and Giant Eagle Express® stores only. foodperks!™ discounts are applied to net purchases after all other discounts (coupons, Giant Eagle Advantage Card® discounts, etc.). Rewards have no cash value.

foodperks!™ is a program much like fuelperks!®, except it allows you to earn discounts on grocery purchases at Giant Eagle® by pumping gas at GetGo®. For every 10 gallons of fuel you pump, you earn a 1% discount on a future visit to Giant Eagle®!
All pumped gallons qualify toward foodperks!™ discounts, including gallons you pump with your fuelperks!® discounts.

In fact, by combining your foodperks!™ and fuelperks!® discounts, you can maximize your savings on both fuel and food.

Every ounce of fuel you pump counts. When you pump fuel in an amount less than 10 gallons, this amount is counted toward discounts earned the next time you pump fuel. If you pump more than 10 gallons, but fewer than 20, you will immediately earn your 1% discount, and the balance will be held over toward your next fill-up.

We keep track for you. Like fuelperks!®, you can find how much of a foodperks!™ discount you’ve earned and how many gallons you have pumped toward your next discount on your participating Giant Eagle® or GetGo® receipt.

Your discounts expire three months after the last day of the month in which they are earned (for example, discounts earned in February 2010 expire on May 31, 2010). Your receipt tells you if any of your discounts expire at the end of the current month.

When you check out at Giant Eagle®, Giant Eagle Express® or Market District®, you’ll be asked if you want to use your foodperks!™ or save them for a future visit. If you choose to use your foodperks!™, your discount will be calculated after all other reductions (coupons, Giant Eagle Advantage Card® discounts, etc.) are made.

Your maximum redeemable discount is 20%. Discounts may only be redeemed on any single transaction totaling no more than $300 in qualified items after coupons and Giant Eagle Advantage Card® discounts are applied. Any remaining percentage in excess of 20% may be used on a future shopping trip. The larger your shopping order, the more you save. foodperks!™ discounts cannot be applied toward the purchase of gift cards.

You cannot transfer foodperks!™ discounts to another Giant Eagle Advantage Card® account.

If you have any other questions about foodperks!™, please read the Official Rules and Regulations or call 1-800-553-2324.

I had 8 copies of the .60/1 Chex from Bettycrocker.com. What’s interesting is that 6 of the 8 doubled for the full amount. Here is what I did for 3 different transactions:

2 Chex
1 Multigrain Peanut Butter Cheerios
= $4.00
- $1.20 (from the .60/1 Chex)
-$1.00 (from the .50/1 Chex)
- $1.70 (from the .85/1 Cheerio)
= .10

However, one time I used two of the .60/1 Chex q’s while also buying 2 packs of Cheese. When I did that, the Chex q’s only doubled to 1.00.

So that leads me to wonder – will the Chex q’s double for full amount (and thus overage) IF there are only the GM products in the transaction? On the other hand, maybe it’s just a glitch in my area.

I'm all out of .60/1 q's. So if anyone out there would like to try to repeat my scenario to see if you can get 2 Chex and 1 Cheerios for 10 cents, I would appreciate any report.

That's an interesting theory but I don't have an answer for you.

A few months ago I used the $0.40 off Yopliat Simplait coupon that doubled to $0.80 even though it was on sale for $0.50. Excited, I went home and printed more coupons but the next day when I went back they only doubled an additional $0.10 to $0.50 which was the price of the yogurt. I figured it was a glitch and they had fixed it.

I don't remember what else I purchased in those two transactions but I'll definitely try your scenario and see what happens.

Does anyone know where I can get some proof of coupon policy that is more specific? Yesterday go to one GE- won't take $5/$25 receipt from DG. Manager says they don't take them. Go to another GE no problem but they won't take my UPs or RR's. I feel like its all random. Don't care if they don't take them just want to KNOW... if you know what I mean lol. TIA

They have a pamplet at customer service. I wouldn't have thought that would take RR's or UPS since those are linked to the rewards cards.

Been using them for last couple of months. Learned from here they take them. (think it was LadyD-learn most of my GE tips it seems from her) Seems $/$$ and RR's are YMMV and it should be yes or no.

What GE store(s) are you having issues at? There's been reports of lots of problems in the Stow/Kent area. Complain on their FB page and call corporate. That's how these issues seem to be getting resolved. The manager was wrong not to accept the DG receipt coupon. I know plenty of people who use CVS coupons that come from the magic coupon machine or on their receipts also. Your store or stores need to be retrained and not think that they can interpret the policy as they see fit.

Is it store policy to take Extrabucks and Up Rewards? I have never heard of this and would love to be able to point to a policy if ever questioned.

Not ECB's or Up Rewards - but coupons. Such as $5/$25, $1.50/1 any shampoo/condition (I got this one today from CVS), etc. Just the coupons from the magic coupon machine or the ones that print on the bottom of your receipt and ones that are emailed to you, as long as they still follow GE's policy. Example, you can't use a $5/$25 that is emailed to you because it's a printable over $3. But you can use other competitor printables as long as they are under $3.00. These are all considered "competitor coupons".

Mike you were right. Yesterday I bought 2 x Chex Mix using the $0.60 off coupons with no other General Mills items in my transaction and they only doubled to $1. Today I bought 2 x Chex Mix and 2 x PB Cheerios and they doubled to $1.20! Looks like you need other GM products in your transaction to eat into overage in order for doubling to the full value to take place.

Thank you! I wonder if this is a general backdoor that can be used in other future deals. Make sure you a) have more than one type of product b) all from the same manufacturer and c) nothing else. At the very least, GE does this Chex deal about 3-4 times a year, so I'll try it again next time around.

Nice getting those cheerios for a dime, eh?

Actually I had Wheat Thins (Kraft) in my transaction today too so I don't think c) is a requirement for the overage. There's also a $0.75 SavingStar ecoupon so the Cheerios is a MM for me toobounce

Even better. So we just need something else to eat the overage. And I bet it's a general backdoor. Above you noted:

Is it possible that in the first transaction, you had Simplait and other types of Yoplait? Then in the follow ups, you only had Simplait?

No you need something else made by General Mills to eat the overage. But it's ok to have other non-General Mills items in the same transaction.

Sorry but before your insight on having something else GM to get into the overage I thought the full doubling was completely random so I did not pay attention to what else I was buying in my transaction. I don't think I bought other types Yoplait in the first transaction but I suppose I could have purchased other GM products in that transaction since Giant Eagle often have sales by the same mfg in the same week (e.g. Unilever this week).

I think the "o" might be coming from the register recognizing the shelf price as opposed to the sale price, much like we used to be able to do $/$$ OYNO on shelf price. Just a theory, as I only shop with competitor coupons and super double deals anymore.

I haven't had an issue with competitor coupons yet, just the opposite, so that's been a pleasant surprise, although I probably just jinxed myself. laugh out loud I did the Purina One Beyond deal I posted here a week or so ago and it was great. Whee I printed the DG $5/$25 from the internet.

I just received a snail mail postcard sized pamphlet that has a $10/$20 for GE, so I'll attempt a super stack with that. Whee

There are pamphlets at all my stores with the coupon policy, but not sure they are updated with the competitor information as many stores weren't participating originally.

I'd heart to work on match-ups here with competitor coupons. I bet we could make GE a viable shopping option.

Found $1/1 any Farm Rich snack(18oz or larger) blinkie at GE that I will be able to pair nicely with the Bottom Dollar 2 day sale of $2.49 Mozzarella Sticks or Queso Cheese Bites 20-24oz.

Note there is a new blinkie for $1/1 any package of Maxwell House single serve cups which go on sale tomorrow for $6.99. No idea if this is a good price or not.
