Do yourself a favour if you do open an account. Don't decline the ATM/Debit card. If you don't fund your account immediately (when you apply for it) you won't be able to open your online account even after you receive your welcome packet with account number. The online banking form requires your debit/ATM card number and TD Bank's customer support can't do anything until you have a transaction showing in your account. What this means is you must either go to a branch location (about 100 miles away for me) or snail mail a check and wait for it to clear to initiate an electronic transfer to fund it.
