8gb is default on these systems with the recent refresh. IMO, don't settle with any less RAM

Not trying to crap but people really should be aware that completely redesigned macbook pros are coming. Might be worth seeing what they have to offer before considering this. Also prices will continue to drop on the old stuff.

Agreed, they lost me as a customer when they started that. I recently upgraded my 2011 MBP and it's like a brand new machine. I'll stick with that til it dies.

They're also VERY late on getting the Skylate i7-6700HQ chip to the MacBook Pro. It was Feb when Lenovo brought it out on laptops (ThinkPad p50), and Dell is currently owning the portable/slim market on i7-6700HQ chips (Dell XPS 15). Why isn't Apple competing until Q4? My Apple users aren't happy about this, while Windows users have a plethora of choices available.. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)
