Seems like a good price on the 64gb model. 90 day warranty, likely not Apple refurbished though, and from reading the reviews it sounds like it's hit or miss on getting unlocked by AT&T.

UPDATE: Some buyers have reported receiving the wrong model (e.g. Sprint model instead of AT&T). You can confirm the model number on the back of the phone. This may be too much hassle for some, but if you get the wrong item, just return it.

I've seen Rose Gold go in and out of stock a few times since the sale started yesterday.

You can request unlock from AT&T: https://www.att.com/deviceunlock/#/
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

assume this phone is not over a year, so it is still under Apple warranty - 90 days left I guess.

i bought a 6s plus 64gb refurbished from walmart that was marked Locked to ATT. not only was it pristine, it had close to a year of warranty left on it and I was able to request a device unlock successfully.

Oh, and by the way, it came on 9.1. Smilie

The iphone 7 is coming out in a few months. It is an upgraded iphone 6s, so it is better than this one.

Be very careful with these iPhone s. Last time, I got this deal, the phone was in pristine condition, however, was locked to TMobile which is close to $80 to unlock it. Total scam, the label clearly said AT&T..

You couldn't return it? Doesn't walmart have a return policy?

Yeah, the phone was almost brand new so I wanted to make sure first that (by checking a carrier lock) it was indeed not AT&T, even paid a few buck for it. Then came as T-Mobile-locked and I returned it.

There is a model number on back on every iPhone. For 6s/6s plus, att has a specific model that no other carrier has. You would know right now if it's a att model or not.

I really wonder where all these "pristine" iPhones came from?

I thought reports were that the 7 would not be much of an upgrade over the 6s, and would be priced the same as the 6s.....?

It's the model after the 7 that;s expected to have the major upgrades (so, I guess, Sept 2018)

These are probably units that were being used before and returned, then repaired by Apple.

Yeah, the 7 is rumored to be losing the headphone jack for the sake of waterproofing and will presumably have a better camera and processor. Nothing major it seems though.

In for one, will try to unlock it. Not supposed to get here until next Wednesday though.

So does Apple plan to advertise the 7 as waterproof? But most accounts, the 6s is waterproof but Apple would not advertise it as such so that they wouldnt have to pay out on any claims.

Wow! TIL https://www.engadget.com/2015/10/...aterproof/

Your guess is as good as mine honestly. It's possible for sure, but who knows?

Basically- you know how every other year they release a massively different model, followed by a modest improved model the next year? This is thought to be a 2nd year with modest improvements.

EDIT: OP- I also used DiscoverDeals to get 5% CB. Pretty sure that works at least, never tried it before Big Grin
