That being said, its the norm still currently for the bulb to be that expensive. Only a few newer models have bulb that are under $100 to replace. Also you can go many years without needing to replace your bulb so you should not make it one of the largest factors in your decision. Every time I get a projector, I keep it till the bulb needs to be replaced and then ebay it stating it requires a bulb. Then I see the money to buy another newer projector. My current track record with daily use has been 3-4 years before upgrades.

This is a extremely good deal for a brand new projector. I have seen this one in action multiple times and have been very impressed with it. That being said im going to wait for a refurb direct from manufacture to show up under $500 with 1 year warranty. $495 a month ago I think it was but had other expenses at the time.

Is it 3500 lumens or 2200 lumens?

"BenQ HT1075 Full HD 1920 x 1080, 2200 ANSI Lumens"

"Image Brightness: 3500 ANSI Lumens"

Two different areas on product page.
