July 4th rebates, including the Car Care One credit card rebate - use the info on this form to submit online: http://www.discounttiredirect.com...ormDTD.pdf

MFG rebates on top of DTD rebates:
Brand $ (highest) Expiration date
Cooper $70 7/15
Goodyear $60 7/31
Nitto $70 6/30 !!!
Pirelli $60 7/6
Vogue $75 7/5
Yokohama $70 6/30 !!!

TheHobo's guide:
  • Starts on Monday 6/27/2016, ends on Tuesday 7/5/2016 as OP said
  • You can apply for the credit card the day of purchase, and if approved, they will let you click on a temporary card/pdf. I bought tires during the last DTD/Yokohama sale this way.
  • You can submit rebates online for DTD's rebates, without mailing anything in. Mine were immediately marked as approved. If you do the credit card, you must submit a separate rebate for it.
  • Manufacturer rebates (like Yokohama last time) are generally mail in. Keep your invoice from the shipment.
  • Discount Tire/America's Tire B&M will install [discounttiredirect.com] DTD tires
  • Don't forget to pay the card off ASAP to avoid any finance charges/forgetting you owe it. You can register on the website [mysynchrony.com] to view and pay your bill electronically from a bank account. If you have the money, just do it right away.

Good points, but just to add, if you get the "x months same as cash" offer on the credit card, you can pay it off with no interest over time, PROVIDED you still make the minimum monthly payment.

Do you mean where to get the tires installed?

A couple of options:
1. Have the tires installed at Walmart, Sams, or your favorite local tire dealer.
2, Buy tires and rims and they mount and balance for free.

I've usually fount that option 2 is best, often the cost of the rims is less than the cost to have the tires mounted locally.

how do current prices compare to when the sale starts? I found some tires for the Subaru for about $90 for 4 after all the discounts and rebates. Cooper tires so they should do fine.

If this is the case you are paying way too much for mounting and balancing. Discount Tire B&M stores will mount and balance 4 tires for less than $100. You would be hard pressed to find alloy wheels that cost less than that for any modern car.

No, with the rebates it's usually $10 or so per rim net - less than local cost to mount and balance. DTD price for tires and rims is nearly always much less than the best local deal for tires alone, after all the rebates.

Yes, but rebates are higher with the credit card.

How salty are the people at the B&M Discount Tire store when you roll in with four of your own tires to have them installed? I can see this getting a bit testy.

From the sounds of it they make most of their money off the install and not tires. I could be wrong but I've never had issues taking tires I'm that I didn't buy from them. why
