I did a search, and didn't come across a general thread for free goody bags when you complete a Baby Registry. I figured I'd start one in case any expectant Moms are looking for one. These are the bags I've managed to get so far:

Target:
For the Target Baby Registry, most stores will give you the bag if you ask for it, whether or not you start a registry that day. As you can tell from the pictures, I think they were the most generous with their free bags. The Babyganics $2 manufacturers coupon is great for not just Target.

I've been able to collect a few, but please remember to not be too greedy. The products inside this bag I have found to be the most useful, and some are worth collecting in bulk.

If you do actually register with Target, you will get a $20 gift card in the mail after a few months. This is in the form of a coupon that will be turned into a gift card at the register. I don't know if they limit this to 1 per household or not.

Buy Buy Baby:
These bags seem to change every few months. The rule with this store is only one per registry. Sometimes if you ask nicely, the person behind the registry desk will give you an extra. The big winner with this one is the Enfamil. I was able to get a bag when I registered and when I closed out my registry last week. The bags were slightly different. The one I received when I registered had an extra Chicco coupon, but the one I got last week had a Mustela sample.

Babies R US:
I've found this one to be drastically different almost every time I get a bag from them. Like Target, they're usually pretty generous if you ask for a bag even if you're not registering that day (say you registered online). They also provide goody bags when you take classes from them. The contents in the bag can vary from a few coupons to several great samples.

The one I posted a picture of came from a class I took at one of their locations. I've never seen Enfamil samples inside the bag.

Motherhood Maternity:
This one surprised me, since I wasn't expecting a free bag after purchasing maternity clothes. Because of this, I ended up spacing out my purchases to max out the freebie. They do change their bags every few months. The one that I posted a picture of shows what they are giving out now. About a month ago, they had Avent bottles and 7th generation laundry samples. Recently, they changed them to NUK bottles. The new bags do have a code for a free onesie from Zabees. It doesn't take long to come in.

I've never been turned down for a bag when I ask for one if they have them in stock. In fact, I've split my purchases in two at times, and they do accommodate. I've been told not everyone takes the bag. They may or may not give you a bag if you don't make a purchase. That I have not tried.

Amazon:
So the Amazon baby gift box is pretty nice. I totally failed to take a picture or record an unboxing. You will need to have at least $10 purchased off of your registry before they ship you the sample box. My understanding is the products do change from time to time. The box is worth about $30. There was an enfamil sample inside this box.

Just want to add

List of freebies for expectant/new parents:

Subscription to American Baby Magazine -

https://w1.buysub.com/pubs/MR/ABY...=I208VLD50

Enfamil samples, checks, coupons and gifts-

https://www.enfamil.com/enrollment

*The "hospital gift" is a cooler bag, ice pack and thermos. It can be used for breastmilk or formula. If you don't get one at your hospital, just call. After my hospital birth I called them and they sent it to me. With my homebirth, they were happy to send it too.

Similac samples, checks, coupons and gifts -

https://similac.com/registration

*The "hospital gift" is a black quilted tote. I actually use it as a diaper bag most of the time since DH likes it. It is big enough for everything I need for two kids in cloth diapers. You could really use it for anything like a laptop bag etc. I had a homebirth, so I just called similac for it. They sent it and asked me if I wanted any samples. If they don't have the samples of the type you use, they send high value coupons.

Gerber checks and coupons -

https://www.gerber.com/registrati...ord=gerber

*I never got their free gift, but like the other companies you can probably just call for it. I barely ever get checks or samples from them.

*Always ask your pedi or obgyn for formula samples. They usually get a ton from the company.

Huggies coupons and deals -

https://www.huggies.com/en-US/Register

*they sometimes send shutterfly freebie codes. I never did their rewards program either.

Pampers coupons and deals -

http://sharegiftstogrow.com/page/...171a11ad5c

*I really like the pampers gifts to grow rewards program. I cloth diaper, but they always give out free codes. With the free codes, I have been able to get many things, such as baby legs. They have sent shutterfly codes too.

Mama365 deals -
http://www.mom365.com/subscribe/signup.aspx

*I haven't really explored the site, but you get a $20 shutterfly code.

Traditional Medicinals Tea samples -

http://traditionalmedicinals.com/contact/

*Just fill out the contact form and ask for samples. I asked for the mother's milk tea. They also sent coupons.
*Update Nov 2015 - I filled out the form again and asked for pregnancy tea and coupons. They were happy to send it.

Registries:

Always register even if it is more of a shopping list than a registry. I have registered at Target, Buy Buy Baby and Babies R Us. When I went to Target, I didn't get a "goody bag" (2014). I called my local target and they do have the "goody bag" in stock. I just need to pick it up (registered online, 2015). I did get one at buy buy baby and babies r us though. The goody bags consist of bottles, pacifiers, toys, diapers, wipes, diaper cream, breast pads, coupons, etc. It varies, but they are always awesome.

*A few weeks before your due date you also get an exclusions coupon (aka registry competition coupons). It ranges from about 10-15% off registry items that are usually excluded from coupons. This coupon helps a lot especially on big ticket items.

*(2014) Get the target baby mailer. Occasionally they do a promo where you get a coupon for a $20 gift card for registering there. I just emailed target asking to be signed up for the mailer and even asked for the coupon. They said they could only sign me up. I did end up getting the coupon a few weeks later.

*(2014) Same as target, get signed up for the babies r us mailer. They occasionally do a promo where you get a coupon for a $10 gift card for registering there. Call your local store too because some of them will carry them there. I did the same thing I did with target. I got one a few weeks later even though they said they couldn't.

*(2015) Register on amazon and get $5 off any baby purchase sold by amazon. There are a couple items you can get for free. I found baby closet organizers for free.

They also have a completion coupon for 10% or 15% for amazon mom users.

I also did the Free Baby Welcome Box for Amazon Prime/Mom. It won't work all the time either and didn't at all for some. It did work for me and it came with a lot of nice samples. It was a bit frustrating, but I am glad I did it.
