Lowes kobalt 24-volt tools 24% off with trade in B&M

Got an email from lowes stating that if you bring in any old cordless power tool you can get an extra 24% off kobalt 24-volt line. I thought it's a good way to get rid of your old tools.

http://m.lowes.com/pd/Kobalt-24-V...1000061645

So you'd theoretically be able to get this impact drill and driver combo kit with free 38 pic socket set for $151.

Combine with any gift card deals you may have gotten recently and it can be lower.

Did this a few days ago, I got the circular saw for 98.79 before tax. Not sure if it works on the tool packages since they are already on discount and come with free tool sets. Just be aware of the impact drill, I exchanged four sets because the motor was having issues. If the tool was perfectly level it was fine, when you weren't the motor would hit something inside and vibrate and make noises.

** Make sure you get the 4 Amp Hour battery for the saw, it burns the 2 Amp hour up quickly.

Their drill puts out some great numbers. 650in lbs and 2k RPMs seems pretty absurd for this price level. I'd be interested but just can't justify it when my Milwaukee Ni-Cad still works so well. They don't give you any cash or trade value on the trade in right? Just the coupon?

They don't test the tools, you just put it in the box at the service counter and they give you a 24% coupon. The tools are GREAT, they perform very well.

Perhaps a garage sale or Goodwill trip might be a good idea, they don't seem to care what the tool is.

Does this work as an immediate discount only, or is there some sort of coupon or voucher that they give you? I'd love to see the terms on a flyer or display or something.

I am new to this deal. I already have a decent drill/driver. For all of the tool guys out there, what are the best deals right now on the other 24v tools? I don't need the impact driver either, I have a plugged version.

I traded in a saw without the battery or charger without any problem.

Bought 2 sets today using my laughably crappy old black & decker 7v NiCad tools (without the batteries). If they took those tools I think they will take anything.

In one of the stores almost no one even knew about the promotion and could barely figure out how to do it!

If you just need the drill and driver, it is on sale right now for 169, so after the discount you get brushless 24v tool combo for just under $130, $150 if you buy another 2 amp hour battery since it only come with one battery.

The four tool combo with drill, impact driver, reciprocating saw, work light, and one 4 amp hour battery for just over $250 is also a great deal.

I got the 4 tool combo for myself (after returning a equivalent set of Ridgid tools which costs about 400) and the drill driver combo for my dad as a belated father day present. We are just your everyday DIYers, so these tools should be more than enough for our needs.
