Surefire AR-15 .223/5.56 100-Round Magazine - $99.99 + S/H ($7.99 Shipping to AZ, could be different for other spots in the U.S.)

GunMagWarehouse.com [gunmagwarehouse.com]

The SureFire High-Capacity Magazine is compatible with all Mil Spec AR-15 variants and other firearms that function with standard AR-15 pattern magazines. Constructed entirely from Mil-Spec aluminum and then Type III hard coat anodized for durability. Surefire magazines feed smoothly and reliably were designed to be left loaded indefinitely. Additionally, Surefire Magazines can be disassembled for cleaning via the removable floorplate. Also, unlike other high capacity magazines, the Surefire High-Capacity Magazines DO NOT require dry lubricants for reliability.

Due to their unique 4x2 quad stack configuration, the magazines add firepower without excessive bulk. The 100-round magazine is only an inch and a half longer than a standard 30 round magazine and narrower than two 30-round magazines clipped together.

Surefire High-Capacity Magazines can be seated in a rifle with a closed bolt, even when fully loaded-no downloading required. Surefire ensured this by allowing for differing tolerances between SAAMI and NATO specifications.

I wasn't gonna order this, but it shows discontinued through Midway USA who is still selling for $171. Maybe surefire is making an improved magazine? Or maybe they got out of the higher capacity magazine market altogether? I'm not sure but would certainly be kicking myself later if i didn't jump on the opportunity to get one at this price! If I wind up not liking it, it shouldn't be difficult to get rid of!

I wish SD would offer the statisitcs on up/downvotes. I would be curious if products like this get automatic downvotes from a certain political demographic that would be reflected in a higher number of downvotes than is typical for most good deals.
prob so, i would assume that is it true and then buy accordingly; each thread on it's own merits and historically, these type of topics get a fair amount of biased comments/votes.

I have the 60 rounders and have never had a feed issue. I've read that they may have issues with steel where the ammo may be coated in a tacky coating, but cant confirm or deny since I've only ever shot brass through mine.

Thanks so much for the coupon! This is a bit of a novelty purchase, but given the current climate I got one while I could.

I imagine that "political" discussion is actually relevant to the deal... I mean, if it were a deal for a laptop with mismatched specs, wouldn't discussion of that be relevant, even if it's technically a good price for that combination?

My question on this deal has to do with what you'd need a 100 round magazine for when it's $100... if it's just for the hell of it, is that really a slick deal? Stick Out Tongue

If anyone is on the fence about buying this, here's a great story of why 100+ rounds mags are needed.

A bald eagle was freed from a tree by a patriotic Army veteran, who spent 90 minutes firing 150 shots into three branches ahead of the Fourth of July holiday.

If you used a credit card, check your account activity. I'm noticing several fraudulent charges and it appears I am not the only one....

Gunmagwarehouse made a statement about the charges. They were indeed hacked, but are promising they're good now. YMMV. I've ordered from them in the past, and they're a solid company.

I noticed the statement after. I'm hesitant to do business with them again as in cases like this I expect to receive an email from them notifying me directly of the issue. I should not have to depend on an SD post in deal talk warning me about it. Luckily I was in time as the fraudulent transactions were still pending. The card is now blocked and I'm being sent a new one.

My main question is what other of my personal info was stolen in that hack. Not a word on that either. As said, that makes me hesitant to do business with them again. A few dollars saved is not worth all this hassle.
