The SureFire High-Capacity Magazine is compatible with all Mil Spec AR-15 variants and other firearms that function with standard AR-15 pattern magazines. Constructed entirely from Mil-Spec aluminum and then Type III hard coat anodized for durability. Surefire magazines feed smoothly and reliably were designed to be left loaded indefinitely. Additionally, Surefire Magazines can be disassembled for cleaning via the removable floorplate. Also, unlike other high capacity magazines, the Surefire High-Capacity Magazines DO NOT require dry lubricants for reliability.

Due to their unique 4x2 quad stack configuration, the magazines add firepower without excessive bulk. The 100-round magazine is only an inch and a half longer than a standard 30 round magazine and narrower than two 30-round magazines clipped together.

Surefire High-Capacity Magazines can be seated in a rifle with a closed bolt, even when fully loaded-no downloading required. Surefire ensured this by allowing for differing tolerances between SAAMI and NATO specifications.

Perfect for deer hunting when you miss the first shot. Serious note; how are these things with regards to jamming? Is it a real functional mag or is it more of a stunt item?

In most states it's illegal to hunt deer using .223 or 5.56 rounds. Too small, not powerful enough. The 30 round mags are about as reliable as they get, and I have heard of these not being nearly as reliable. Personally, I don't see a use for them. It takes hardly any time to swap out a standard 30 round mag, and it gives you added reliability since you have more mags in case one jams/breaks/whatever.

It's also incredibly overpriced, especially when you can get quality 30 round mags for $15 or less.

All of the above is pretty accurate with one exception- there's an obvious use case for a larger mag-

That's if you own a slidefire stock

(or, obviously, an NFA registered select fire AR)

Reviews/videos that I've come across are generally very positive about the mag. I also think it's a nice piece to own in the event of future AWB legislation against hi-cap mags. Mostly sold out everywhere and those places that do have it in stock are charging $30-70 more for these.
