$359.00

Thread Details

This is a continuation of the $359 dealwe saw almost 2 months ago at Sam's. They have a $40 additional tech savings that is running right now until 7/31.

This package is a great deal and really hard to beat considering you also get 2 free outdoor mounts ($40 addtl. value).

Arlo cameras are great outdoor solutions because they are completely wireless and extremely easy to mount while providing a lifetime of free 7 day DVR retention. In most cases that is plenty of storage and you can always download and store the video to have forever on-site if you would like.

Scroll down on the page and you will see the "Package Contents" section where it will show you get the 2 mounts. It doesnt look like it is a promo but the mounts just come in the package but who cares, this is a great deal!

What a useless product by Netgear. Cameras drink the battery juice like an athlete drinks water. I tried three different brands of batteries so far. The quality is great if it works.

3 Cameras will consume more than $400 worth of batteries in one year unless someone purchases rechargeable batteries. The cameras keep dropping the connection with the base few times a week. It is hard to understand how it gets all the TU.

LMAO

These threads get thumbs up because the world doesn't revolve around sher. I have been on the Arlo forums for a long time before I purchased these so I did my research. There are some great threads on battery usage and has real world results.

Battery life all depends on the settings you use (picture quality & sensitivity) as well as if it is a high traffic area. Many get 5+ months on standard Duracells for a low traffic area, you may only get 2-4 months in a high traffic area.

These rechargeable batteries though have been working great for people. 2 months or more on a camera that is taking on average 2-3 minutes of recordings a day (10-15 second clips). With the batteries costing 3.50 each, that puts you at $56 for 12 rechargeables + the charger and you are done.

I've had 0 issues with any of the 3 cameras dropping off the network. I would have to say my experience is 100% opposite of yours and apparently many other people because there isn't a product on the market that can touch the Arlos yet for pure cord free surveillance.

What charger do you use for these batteries? Is this the same brand and store where you purchased yours?

These batteries have protection circuitry in them to keep them from over charging or over discharging.

The charger from their website will suffice if you don't have one that does multiple kinds of batteries.

Yes I ordered from this website directly.

No Sound on the camera makes its use purly for security.
The App's Geolocation future does not work properly. I.E if I leave my house I want the app to enable the cameras. When I come back it should disable them. The app has to be loaded each time to get the feature to work (Real pain). Haven't had any issues with batteries yet but only had the camera for month
In the end I will return them to Sams since it lacks sound, like drop cam.

That is true, these cameras in my eyes are for a very specific niche. An absolutely wire-free solution that can be mounted anywhere within minutes.

One thing I want to add though is that these cameras are now able to be used with IFTTT integration so if you have trouble with the location arming in their app (which it says is in BETA on the app), you can use something like LIFE360's IFTTT triggers which are MUCH more reliable. I utilize the LIFE360 with Wink and have had great success, I will probably do the same for arming these cameras.

Seeing as how Costco members can now go to Sams and buy items without a 10% increase would I be able to get it for the "member" price? I've been looking to get some cameras to cover the blind spots in the my house and 3 cameras would be sufficient.

TU can also mean SD trying to push a high price item through its site with some not fair reviews like yours mentioning you have had 0 issues with three cameras, not practical at all. I knew some smartie pants will jump and say this is the best invention ever.

i got 4 days out of the included batteries with sensitivity set at 80. i received approx 12 alerts a day and recorded for 60 seconds but the prime footage won't record. i think motion activated recording is ineffective. a camera should be able to record continuously and alert u when there is motion and provide a clip with a 10 second before the motion. i wasn't happy with this camera so i returned it - no way was i gonna buy these and keep changing batteries every 4 days. this unit died while i was on vacation so i was blind during the last few days and made me irritated with the claimed 6 month battery life. i wouldnt recommend these to anyone that need reliability and security - only pro is the flexibility of being able to use them anywhere within range and given battery level.

The software with arlo is amazing... I think people don't realize the power of it... For example, I understand the delay in recording, so I have setup a rule in all Motion mode when driveway senses motion to record driveway and back door... So this way the backdoor is recording prior to subject appearing in view.... You could do that in any combination you like... For example, any motion on any camera, and record all cameras... Thanks to rechargeable batteries... No worries about battery life... 😊
