I lost a remote, anybody know where I can get one of these remotes? Don't feel like buying the whole pack again. Searched ebay and aliexpress and nothing really showed up.

edit: Nevermind I see that they sell remotes individually for $9. Kind of steep just for the remote, ugh.

Better than an IOT version, as this won't have the security nightmare that is IOT.

Also, these default to off if you cut power to the outlet. I have a room with 3 outlets linked to a light switch. I wanted the ability to turn off the lights from another room if I forgot. Now my wife would have to track down the remote or use the app and turn the switches on manually if the light switch was used to turn them off the last time. I wish I'd known that limitation as I probably would have passed on the Hook combo with these switches.

I use these for some decorative lights that my daughter has on at night. They don't have an on off switch so she uses these to turn them off. Works out well. Thought this thread would get more traction maybe just about everyone here already has these as they pop up frequently lol

I am curious as well. #1 Best seller with 3,200 reviews at 4.5 stars vs 2 reviews... i'm swayed to stick with the older model and be mindful i may need 1 ft extension cords.

Anyone experience high battery drain in the remotes of these? I bought a pack of these from Costco a few years ago and the remotes chew through the A123 batteries like crazy. I use the remote twice per day and the battery will only last about 2 months (which seems way too short).
Anyone else experience this or are the costco ones crap?

I bought the much smaller and newer 2016 Etek-direct version and they work great. I definitely recommend getting the newer versions because they don't block out the outlets next to or underneath them and they don't look bulky. I wish I waited a month and get this $8 off coupon though! Frown

There is another new 2016 square version too: https://www.amazon.com/Ivation-Pr...M77PV6S9K5
