Lowest price I've seen so far.

Now $55 at Amazon. $60 at Newegg.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Actually that's not true anymore. Most people may upgrade their Smartphone or tablet every 2-3 years. But now a day, most people won't upgrade their PC that often anymore. If you have a decent i5 or i7 machine you built or bought back in 2011, it probably still work fine even now and probably good for another few years. If you want a SSD for boot drive, you want something that last for at least 4-5+ years.
I doubt most people will notice the speed difference between this and an evo. thumbed up for good price on a decent drive

I'd say pay double price for Samsung EVO 850 instead.

This vs PNY CS1211? I know the CS1211 is MLC oppose to TLC. Other than that any real differences that I should buy the CS1211?

if you're use it for laptop you should buy the cs1211 due to low power consumption and more durable. about the longevity, I'd say it doesn't matter. most of us upgrade our computer every 2-3 years.

I might spend a bit more for the SanDisk - SSD Plus 240GB

I invested in one of those Apricorn - Data Transfer Cable long ago. Feels like it paid off after five or so SSD upgrades.

Not bad at all. Tax kinda kills it for many. $90 for a 480GB would be nice.

Agreed. I spent about $1250 on a GSi i7 gaming laptop in 2013. It has been used maybe 6 times in the last 2 years... unless I need to edit photos or video, I use my 12" Galaxy Tablet. It seems like Moore's Law has failed for PC performance in the past few years, I see no reason to buy another PC atm.
