"Alexa, tell me about prime day deals"

"I have some great deals today.
You can get the Amazon tap [amazon.com] for $79, - Expired
a Cuisinart Griddler [amazon.com] for $40,
or a Dromida drone [amazon.com] for just $25.
For any of these deals, just ask me to order them.
And, if you can believe it, i'll give you 10 dollars off one purchase between now and july 12th."

The deal for the Tap today only. Must order via the Echo/Alexa

Fire TV Owners:
It is possible to purchase these deals through Alexa on the Fire TV or Fire TV Stick, however it's very hit or miss on whether Alexa brings up the discounted price or not. You need to keep trying with different phrasing until you get the discounted item.

Try some psychology. Put her ego in play. "Alexa, is it true you're clueless about Prime Day deals?"
or "she-it"... more appropriate I think.

Just checked this on my echo, checked out. Not sure how to use the 10$ off though?

I placed an order but it didn't take $10 off. I wonder if we have to wait for July 12 for that to work?

Sounds like the programmers released this early, before the deal was live.

Alexa is being exceptionally moronic tonight in not understanding "tell me about prime day deals".

She threw out a riddle for me...

"Tell secrets I cannot, but since you ask, this hint is what I've got. On July 8, early birds get their meal, so ask me then, and I will reveal some deals."

I'm guessing that means I can ask her again in about 40 min once it turns 12AM PDT.

I got the same thing, but usually Amazon releases deals at 8am or after, so I doubt it will be live at midnight (but I'll try).

Hmm....I remember last year the Prime Day "deals" started at midnight, so it'll be interesting to see how they do this...especially for the lead up to it.
