Amazon has an Adobe Creative Cloud Photography plan (Photoshop CC + Lightroom) on sale for $7.49/month (one year subscription) as opposed to $10/month. That's a savings of $30.12 on your year subscription.

Also, remember if you cancel after your first 30 days, you'll be charged 50% of the rest of the 12 month commitment period.

I use Lightzone. Same features as Lightroom, minus the organizational features and it's a bit faster and FREE! (opensource).

I also use a few other programs though for a few tasks.
I much prefer running my older and paid for copy of LR. But if you want to have a never ending bill and the latest and greatest it's a good deal.

I've read many negative reviews about buying it from Amazon in regards to activations, etc. Even with the price savings, it wouldn't be worth the hassle to me.

I've heard the same, but as a photographer I've been waiting for a sub $10 monthly combo for these. I just signed up and everything worked fine

I'm with you - I'm still running CS5's suite of apps on 10.6.6 to keep from having to go the subscription route.
