The biggest thing is these watches do not have a speaker, so you won't be able to use the upcoming Google Assistant (if google allows it to run on other watches).


Rumor is Google is releasing their own brand smart watches later this year.


Also the original-gen Moto 360 will not get Android Wear 2.0, so who knows how short these 2nd gen models will be supported.

Keep in mind, they still dont work well with Apple. Notifications work with Android wear, but really thats it.

This is a bit misleading.

They do have less capability, yes, but you still get calls and texts. You cannot extensively use the OK Google voice functionality, though.


Admittedly the biggest strength of this platform is the voice-centric language recognition.
