No problem. For some reason these guitar deals only show the right price when you click through the slickdeal links. I never see the sale price when I search Adorama.

The one where you decide not to quit when it gets hard. Smilie

The two slimmer FS models are more comfortable to handle for kids. The FG and FS Yammies are excellent beginner to intermediate guitars.

Personally I would never spend $200 on a guitar for an 8 year old.. until or unless you KNOW they are into it. In todays world you can get a perfectly adequate acoustic for well under $100 for a child to play around with and learn on. Look at Musicians friends "Rouge" line of cheap acoustics. I own three (plus many mid and high-end acoustics) and my brother owns one.. and they look cheap as all get out, but they all play well and sound pretty good. In fact I use one of mine for recording 80% of the time because for whatever reason it just sounds good and sits in the mix well.

For someone that young I'd get a 3/4 scale guitar. It would be much easier to handle.
JR1 is the model you might look into. JR2 and JR2s are each upgrades "s" means solid spruce top.
