Skullgirls is easily the best fighting game I've ever played.

And yeah, it is a fantastic bundle. Golf With Your Friends is just delightful and Spelunky is one of my favorite games ever. Even with the BTA jumping ~$2.50 from its lowest point, I should try posting it again.
In this thread you said BTA low was $4.35 (which is close to the $4.37 I saw). In the other thread I quoted you said $2.50. When did the BTA go to $2.50 and how did you see that, or was posting that a mistake? I did a lot of refreshing (several times per minute during the first 15 minutes in a window while at work while doing other stuff) and the lowest I ever saw was $4.37. It bounced a lot during the first minute or two but it was in the $5 or $6 range.

Someone on SD (maybe even you) taught me to buy within the first minute for 1 penny to lock in the price and then watch it and spend another penny if the price drops another dollar. So I ended up locking the first penny at over $5.50 and when it hit $4.40 I locked again with another penny. I'm glad HB lets you re-buy the bundles in the same account. I checked for another 5 minutes afterwards and $4.37 was the lowest I saw. Maybe an hour later it was around $4.55, and later in the day it was in the $5.50 range. At that point I paid the difference to my $4.40 price and got my keys. If or when I'll ever play the games is another matter. EEK!

As for the games, I mainly bought for Spelunky and Skullgirls though I already have both on PSN. Golf with Friends looked OK, but it sounds like it is multiplayer only, and I usually don't have anyone to play with. Do you know if it has a single player mode?

I had Nidhogg on my recommended list, even though I dislike low quality graphics. I'm still amazed to this day the number of developers who refuse to make 1920x1080 graphics with detailed textures but instead cling to "8 bit style" making their games look like a Playstation 1. Needless to say I put marks by those games that I consider low res graphics and I rarely buy them or install them. There are still too many good HD graphics games to play low res games unless they have fantastic gameplay, but like I said if you follow the other bundles sites there are a huge number of recently released (mostly indie) games that go for the low res blocky graphics style. To me it's the analogy of HD graphics : steadicam as low res SD graphics : shakycam in movies. Basically high effort vs. low effort, good budget vs. cheapskate.

Just so you realize, doing that is likely screwing HB and the developers due to transaction costs for penny charges, not to mention screwing the charity they're supporting to save yourself literally about a dollar. They get charged a fee every time they charge your card.

No you aren't. As a business they have made a choice to make this offer, either as a loss leader or otherwise. Certainly they are aware of this behavior, otherwise they wouldn't allow people to rebuy bundles with the same account. If they were getting "screwed" they would not allow people to pay a penny. Get off your high horse, everyone is on SD to save ourselves dollars. wave

I bought the average pack and an extra two set of $1 bundles so that I can do multiplayer Nidhogg with friends.

I kind of don't mind paying a bit extra for Humble Bundles. I only wanted $1 Nidhogg, but bought one of the $6 average bundles too just to give them more money.

EDIT: Dammit, the average went up from $5.94 when I bought my first bundle to over $6. So I just wasted money. Next time I'm low-balling these guys since I actually wanted Skullgirls and didn't get it.

You can see the message they put up when you play less than a dollar; at least prior to the Steam ones that now required at least a dollar for exactly that type of thing. It's also open information how much transactions cost. Now, if you don't mind being selfish and taking money out of the pockets of a charity, developers, and HB to save that buck, then there's not much anyone can do about it to change your mind. Obviously not everyone is, as most people don't do what you do or there would be no more bundles.

Mentioned elsewhere that Skullgirls does NOT include the 2nd Encore DLC/Upgrade, so if you're expecting that to be part of this bundle, it is not.

You aren't taking money out of anyone's pocket anymore than people who buy loss leader doorbusters are robbing the shareholders of Best Buy.

Devs and Humble made this an option, if you were truly ensuring their kids would not eat tonight, do you think they would have chosen to allow this behavior? No. If most people did what you find so abhorrent, they would either stop allowing it, or continue allowing it because they are happy to allow it.

Again, get off your high horse, Humble doesn't need you to protect it from the customers who have accepted their offer.

Agreed. Not to mention the fact that YOU CHOOSE where your money goes, what if you choose to give it as a Humble Tip or to the devs? Charity be damned, then. I'm certain there's more than enough idiots that pay outrageous amounts of money (ie. $500+) to more than offset the penny lock-in'ers.
