Another Walmart YMMV deal.

Linksys AC3200 EA9200 tri-band router for $64 ($45 in some Walmarts)

http://www.walmart.com/ip/Linksys...r/43552818

Brick seek item number: 43552818
UPC: 745883668359
brickseek.com/walmart-inventory-checker?sku=43552818
[brickseek.com]

According to the reports here, some Walmarts even have it at $45.

Edit: I told my friend and he also went to the Walmart in his area. Walmart's own app shows there are two stores having in-stock. But none on the shelves. He asked one aged lady for help but she said everything they have are here and refused to check in the back. But the young lady in the other store was willing to check in the back and found it. After he bought it, the app shows out of stock now. So I think Walmart's app is still accurate. The key point is whether you're lucky enough to find a nice employee to help you.

Looks like some in stock in Madison, Wi. Not interested in driving that far but maybe someone closer can score one.

Thanks for the post! my local walmart shows it at $64 and in stock, but of course the store is completely wiped out of all routers, and the employees didn't want to offer the time of day to check behind customer service counter in returns.

Always a good reminder as to why Target is better.

Don't waste your time on these... Buy a ubiquiti access point for similar price point... You will be blown away by speed, reliability, and covered... Best equipment money can buy.

First I've heard of them--does it act as a complete router system? Is one enough to cover a house/yard, and possible down to the dock?

You need a router... If you have an old router, use that and turn off wifi, and use the access point as your wifi... Otherwise ubiquiti makes a very solid one... And yes, coverage should be enough from one...

I do have an old gigabit router to replace, that's why I'm in the market now....that's interesting. So this just basically creates the Wireless network, while the old router would go through all the trouble of setting DHCP/DNS/IP addresses, etc?? What purpose does the router serve? I'm guessing I can't hook up the ubiquiti to the modem directly.

Lol this starts to make me feel Walmart is doing tricks on purpose. They cancelled their price match policy and wait for people to go other merchandise and try price matching the items you won't find on Walmart's shelves but showing in-stock online. Eventually all merchandises will cancel the price match policies.
