Meh has the Toshiba chromebook again.
Not the newest, but also not $270. And it handles surfing duties just fine.
Can't beat it for an high quality IPS 1080p screen chromebook at $160.

Last two times on meh they sold out rather quickly.

Is this a good deal or should I hold out on a deal for the C720?

pretty good deal. hopefully soon we'll see the latest version with backlit keyboard and better processor get down to low 200's refurb. but that model has been popular so prices haven't slipped much. this is a better all around machine than the c720

Seems like a good deal. Only reason to get the c720 would be cpu, but this cpu is fine for a chromebook. The newer model has a stronger cpu and backlit keyboard of you're into that kind of thing. I don't think it is worth the extra $$.

This was already this price a couple months ago refurbished, I would wait for a newer chromebook rather than this with a slower n2840 cpu.

Waiting for a Chromebook with i3 to go on sale. These Celeron machines are nice, but in terms of CPU speed about on the same level as my Thinkpad from 2007 (Core2Duo T7300).

Pretty good deal for 160 bucks. I got mine when it was released and it's still going strong. Speed likely wont be an issue for most people. It's fast enough for media consumption / browsing. I had elementary OS on mine for a while and it tackled that no problem too. I went back to pure Chrome OS for its simplicity. The screen is the best part of the device - it's beautiful.

Meh.com doesn't do coupons. They have one deal a day, and what you see is what you get. The only way you're getting a "deal" is if you're a VMP member, which gets you free shipping on everything for $5/month.
