My experience with Honeywell humidifier has been mediocre at best so far. The one I have now stopped working after around a year - its fan blew off. Out of curiosity I opened it, as well as my old Crane Drop humidifier that died 3 years ago when its mist generator died and found out that most of the internals are nearly identical. I moved a fan from the old Crane humidifier to Honeywell one, and it still works lol

Anyways, rule # 1 with all these humidifiers - don't chase the specific brand/model - the chance is they are all assembled by some unknown Uncle Xiao in one of many factories in China. Brand seems to mean less and less in terms of quality nowadays, so if you can get a noname humidifier for cheaper, you might actually be getting the very same thing :-)

Anyways, $17 is not too bad even for a noname humidifier, so it's still a decent deal. + I found at least several stores locally on Brickseek that list this OOS, but at $15, so if you order this humidifier to pick it up in one of these stores, you will likely be able to ASK for a price match, so you'll get it for $15. I am 99% sure you won't have any issues with such a small price difference.

I'd be interested if it were filter-less. It's a great deal but doesn't fix the complaint I have with my current humidifier.

These are not bad! Buy the $2 protection plans and file a case in 2 years....that gives you a giftcard for the original purchase price through email....thus two of these cost me $4 bucks plus the cost of filters!! People are retarded!

I can't believe after at least a decade, they are still selling this model. Big company just wants to squeeze money out of their customer, no innovation. I love the humidifier at the beginning, but the filter became a mess later on.

Just a heads up I'd check your store first on brickseek and see if this is even cheaper and on clearance. I've seen them all the way down to $1 on brickseek. I bought mine almost 2mos ago for $15 in-store and as of last week they still had tons left. Brickseek shows them OOS at one of my locations but I would put money on it that there are still numerous in-stock.

It's loud and takes time to clean. Use filtered water, easier to clean.

I have one of these, didn't mind the sound but not impressed with the meager amount of humidity it added to a small room and finding a replacement wick off the shelf around me is dang impossible. Wound up buying a Supelton (sp?).
