UN75J6300 for $549 walmart clearance deal is worth the effort if you can find it and you will have to work to do that.

it is the same tv as this without the 4k/3d.

Let me preface this by saying I am not an expert on the subtle difference between part numbers, nor am I proficient in which sellers are certified or more reputable.
I'm in the market for a 70/75" 4K display so of course this thread set off my deal alert, seems to be a good price for this display... When I search Amazon for "UN75JU7100FXZA" it comes up as $3300

However upon doing a google search for the same part number one of the items said $2298 so clicked the link and wound up on this page at tvsuperstore.com [tvsuperstores.com] which is for a "UN75JU7100FX".
I've done more googling and can't seem to determine exactly what the difference is between the UN75JU7100FX and the UN75JU7100FXZA... anybody here have/willing to share some insight? I'm a firm believer in "if it's too good to be true it probably isn't" like it can't be this easy...

*EDIT: tvsuperstores.com has an F rating at BBB so I'm not going to risk it over a few hundred dollars

The last letters after the model number (7100) is just where the model is sold at, minor differences prevent price matching (e.g. best buy vs costco vs walmart). Since the first letters/numbers are the same, UN75JU71000, they are basically the same tvs.

thanks that's what I thought I'm just trying to work through my skepticism about why this seeming great TV is so cheap at this one seller. It's ~2500 at a few other sellers and then still well over $3k from major sellers like amazon, sears, walmart and bestbuy

Must have:
HDMI 2.0
HDCP 2.2
HEVC

I have no interest in this set, just passing along advice from Consumer Reports Magazine for 4K Shoppers.

hi thanks, I welcome any advice just having a little trouble understanding the context of your post... You are correct that the ports are HDMI 2.0, HDCP 2.2 is present and the TV supports HEVC, I believe those are the latest versions yes? I think you were just trying to tell me to make sure I get a TV that has all those specs minimum yes? if so thanks! I will make sure I keep that in mind.

It's the 2015 model (J, J = 2015) so maybe its being cleared out for the 2017s. The mid-range Samsung for 2015 are far weaker than the mid range 2016's because they don't have HDR10, or dynamic HDR whatever you want to call it. Only the high end 2015's have HDR10, pretty much all 2016s forward I think have it.

FYI looks like the OP added a product link in the original post, about an hour ago I checked and the price was accurate and I just checked again and now the price is 2899. "adding it to the cart to see lower price" just takes off the $50 discount mentioned in the OP

If ANY 4K TV does not meet all these specs...DO NOT BUY! Without HDMI 2.0 you will not be able to get the DIrecTV 4K programming. Without HEVC, you will not be able to get the Netflix 4K programming. Without HDCP 2.2 you will not be able to get much of anything.
