Same price at Amazon, so you can avoid the BestBuy in-store pickup "experience":

I have this setup. I use it everyday for HTPC. Recommended!

I have both the K400 and the K400 plus and the latter is NOT better. The build quality is lower. However the original K400 is out of print, too bad I spilled beer on mine. Are they clearing out stock to make way for a K400++?

Is K830 that much better to justify the $30 price difference?

I'm sorry, but I think the K400 is much better since it has media keys and a sleep button. It makes for a wonderful pairing with a HTPC. And... It's only $20 at Walmart, all the time.

You forgot to mention your obsession with Ringplus, keyboard could be used to sign up for it. You must have had your demons exorcised!

anyway a good upgrade from the flaky K400, I paid this over Prime Day for it. Very nice with better left shift.

Are backlights worth $30 to you? For some people they are.

If this is clearance, what's the new model to replace it?

Using this keyboard for the HTPC in the living room. This keyboard got it right: light, durable, good choice of shortcut and media keys, trackpad is accurate.
I dont think there is a need for backlight for HTPC's keyboard.
