I have one of these. Paid more than twice that. Works really well. As a bonus the second controller cradle doubles as a place to hang your headset. Not really intended functionality but...

Seems like a great price to me tu, also Amazon now shows $10.82.

Anyone know what the capacity is? I've been using alkaline batteries for the time being with my Xbox but have debated getting rechargeables as the battery waste bugs me. Thing is which is more effective do people feel? I know this has the whole convenience of plugging it into the base and not worrying about changing batteries. But honestly i don't mind the idea of swapping batteries out as needed so long as the batteries last a decent time(not a hardcore gamer).

Newegg had a deal about free AC games (AR) with a free gift of the charger and battery. The IR extender was on clearance at BestBuy for $5 if you can still find it.

Have one of these chargers. Love it. Works really well with little kids since it's so simple.

I don't know what the rating is for these, but last generation I used normal batteries exclusively because they lasted longer than rechargeables. This generation I decided to use a rechargeable station for both my PS4 and Xbox One. I have an Insignia rechargeable station for the Xbox One and it's very rare that I run out of a charge, and then only if I've left the controller off the station between a few play sessions.

I thought the Newegg deal was Nyko? I could be recalling wrong but I thought it attached to the Xbox by the side USB port. Further if that is the one then you had to pull the battery pack and place them in the charger unit attached to the Xbox. If that is indeed it, then this one is different in that it is a seperate unit that plugs into an AC outlet and you place the controller on to recharge without pulling the battery pack.

This unit would actually be better for me as my wife insists on keeping the Xbox in the cabinet below the TV which restricts the space to much for the Nyko.

I have 2 AA rechargeable batteries that say 2100 mah. Does that mean that I have a 4200 mah "pack". I like the convenience of these, but the energizer only has a 700mah pack (I dont know what this one has). Would I be giving up that much? 4200mah(not sure if im right about this) vs 700mah. Thanks in advance.

normal sale price, but still a great deal as long as you don't have the new crappy elite controller.
