Sears $40 [sears.com]

Amazon [amazon.com] - Dead

Weller ®/Portasol® Professional Self-igniting Cordless Butane Solder Kit

Awesome portable soldering iron.
Been through a couple and it is a solid kit.
Lowest I've seen, let alone at Sears, so let those points fly!

Free in-store pickup, couldn't find an option for shipping, but it is a non-stock item at my Sears so looks like they will ship to store.

Good luck

From a professional;

If you are unsure whether this tool is for you, this tool is probably not for you. Unless you already have 3 soldering irons, and one of them is your favorite (the nice computer controlled one) you don't need a portable iron. The temperature is going to be all over the place, and In 99% of uses you should just be running an extension cord to a normal iron. This is a terrible purchase as a first iron.

That being said, it's a real professional tool and makes HF and Dremel ones look like cheap Chinese crap (which they are).

Bought some stuff yesterday without using points... Said I'd recieve $5 and $10 Bonus Points at final checkout on my two orders; how long does it take for those to show up?

I bought a Harbor Freight one. Lets just say sometimes those tools work and are a great bargain, and sometimes you just need the real thing. This is the real thing.

And in this case, was the harbor freight one any good

Also care to share a link to the harbor freight one because I'm not seeing any butane soldering iron on their site

I apologize if I wasn't clear enough. No, the HB one was terrible. Took forever to heat up and even then never seemed to do a great job.

Are you referring to their electrical one or did you get a butane one from there

Mine took 22hrs for an order I placed yesterday. I remember when it used to be as soon as it shipped, or you picked up.

Not sure which is better quality but the dremel brand one seems to have more accessories with it and is only 3 bucks more on amazon

I have this exact one at work, and yes it is quite handy. Car / harness / any wiring, this is a champ. The butane fillers are not that expensive and go a long way. The extra attachments are useful too.

I might just pick one of these up for home. Thanks OP!

Butane, looks nearly identical to this one.

Harbor Freight part number 94903. Found that online, not on their site, they probably stopped selling it because it sucks.
