Be aware that this model has 2 HDMI 2.0b and 2 DP 1.3 instead of the usual 1 HDMI 2.0b and 3 DP 1.3

HDMI 2.0b is much less futureproof compared to DP 1.3. HDMI 2.0b max out at 4K 60hz 10bit. DP 1.3 is good for 4K at 120hz, 5K at 60hz and even up to 8K with MSC lossless signal compression, much better than HDMI 2.0b.

Most of your upcoming good monitors will have DP 1.3. HDMI is not as widely avail on computer monitors

You only need 1 HDMI port for VR. 2 HDMI is a waste. It's likely how asus is able to lower the price of this turbo model.

So you are going to run 3 or more 4K or 5K monitors on this thing? I am not sure this thing can play games driving 2 or more 4K monitors at once.

I think it supports up to 3 simultaneous monitors at 4K or 4 monitors if you only connect 2 4K monitors.

not saying the card is game playable at 5K b/c it's not. but if you ever want to use it for display purpose and video playback, having DP is preferred. Also b/c more monitors will have DP than HDMI.

Just saying that your ability to connect is more limited with HDMI 2.0b than DP 1.3

If your purpose is to display and video, HDMI is plenty fine for that. I was under the impression you wanted to play games with the expanded capability of the DP with more than 2 4K monitors. Just saying.

How much of a difference could one expect to see between a blower card like this one and a 2-3 fan card? I have a mini itx system (core v1), and wouldn't mind having the air blow out of the case even though I consider my ventilation to be pretty good.

Unless you're talking the one not in stock. I tried to buy that one, but it went OOS before I could get it.
