Deal Details

My local HD has the Ecobee 3 "onsale" for $199. Their website is still showing a price of $249, but the shelf tag at my store clearly showed $199 (see attached receipt).

AEP Ohio has a $50 MIR and my Amex card has a 5% CB promo for HD instore purchases of $100+ which take this under $150 including tax for me!

Early adopter here. Use it standalone without any home automation/Echo integration. We only use the phone apps with it. We love this thermostat. We even tried a Nest that the energy company gave us for free and after a week we reinstalled the Ecobee. If you're in the market for a higher level thermostat, this is the one to get.

Was that actually in the store or according to their website? The reason I ask is because the online price for my store was $249 but the shelf has a clear tag marked down to $199.

Thanks!

Bought mine on Amazon prime. Really nice. Easy installation. Wifi enabled. Using iPhone app to control it. Remote sensor is ok; keeps draining battery.

No. The remote sensor communicates with the thermostat and not directly with your phone. Your phone battery is only affected when you run the app to check/change the settings.

I go two of these last November and love them. They have reduced my energy bills as well as increasing comfort levels in the house with the better control we have now and the ability to better manage times the ouse is empty.

Love mine. I've got 2 of them working with SmartThings. The auto away is nice but ST does that for me so I always use it in Hold mode. The data logging is fantastic with these. It's great to see exactly what the thermostats are doing and how the temps are changing as it relates to what mode the thermostat is in and the outdoor temp.

This has been listed at a better price quite a few times already. Many of us paid $189 with no tax for a gen 2 Ecobee3

any Arizonans on here that use these? if so, did it cut your summer bills down without decrease in comfort? natural skeptic in me questions the roi vs a 5+1+1 thermostat programmed to daily household occupancy patterns
