It's DDR4 at 3000 MHz with a cache latency of 16. The delay in nanoseconds given by the RAM is 2000 * the cache latency/the clock speed in Megahertz. So, in this case, (2000 * 16)/ 3000 = 10.66666666666667 ns.

Personally, I'm aiming for a delay of less than 10 nanoseconds. Do you really need this? Almost definitely not. I'm also skipping this deal because I want my RAM modules in multiples of 16 GB, so that when I upgrade I won't be needing to throw away any pieces of RAM, although it's going to be a long time before 64 GB of RAM is necessary.

Search this product UPC from the Fry's website on Amazon and Newegg, and checkout the reviews. I've never bought Patriot before and I'll be skipping this RAM, so check out what the reviews say.

Hope it helps.

HELLL YEAH! you read my mind.. 16GB single modules. Now I see a lot of DDR4 popping up that offers this now if only there was a 4 slot board. Id gladly buy the board and ram to have 64GB of goodness. Why? ESXi! virtual luvs ram and im trying to or aiming to make a ESXi server thats low powered and QUIET. Looks like ddr4 is the winner but pricing

The site says that my coupon code was applied successfully, but the price doesn't change for the case. Is this happening for anyone else?

Edit: I see now that codes go live at 7 a.m. EST.

You'll never need 64GB for the OS in the lifetime of the PC you are using. Ram usage is really dependent on the application, so unless (or even) if you are going to start running a large database or something you are fine with 16GB-32GB you could easily upgrade to. If you look at Windows 8 or 10, minimum Ram is only 1 or 2 GB, and recommended is only 4 GB. You can certainly run windows fine on 8GB (all the extra memory is just used for cache). If you look at gaming, the Xbox One & PS4 have 8 GB of Ram. So it's hard to believe game designs won't stick to that standard. High end games may recommend 12-16 GB, but that's about it. It's just a simple case that software manufactures will only design software for the specs of what >90% of the customer base has, which is <16GB.

Ram is ram if you not playing games or doing anything demanding,There are only so many makers of memory and all these brands buy the chips from the big makers. and slap their stickers / heat sinks on.

What matters most for performance for gaming, video editing etc the timing/clock. Right now DDR4 has yet to mature and tighten up their timings like DDR3 has so everything seems to have "poor timings". But lord knows when they will offer better timed ram. Other thing to consider is warranty (most are lifetime anymore).

Anyone else having problems with Frys website?

On my phone I can get to the site but its telling me my promo code is invalid.

From my computer I get a page from frys that says;
