I got the other BTOOP that's the exact same as this one for $19.99 the other day since it had a better Fake Spot review and regretting it now since i could have gotten it cheaper for probably the exact same thing.

bought this fan for my kids stroller a month ago...works well. Protected 18650s are too big though, so you have to use unprotected. If i recall correctly, the fan does have protection built in and turns off when the 18650 is 3.6v or so.

I saw this one in strollers at Disneyland last week, thought I would buy one for my child. Do you read my mind? Thanks. Smilie

We bought two of these and used them on our stroller at Disney world. The clip broke on one of them after one day of use and the battery only lasts about an hour before it needs to be recharged. I would recommend getting a fan that takes double a batteries so you can replace the batteries.

You don't want 18650 batteries near your babies. They blow up more easily than regular AA batteries. Just google "18650 danger". I'd just get a fan that uses regular AA batteries.

These already take swappable rechargeable lithium 18650 batteries. The 18650's these come with are likely very low mah, so replacing them with 3000-3400mah quality 18650's should give you much longer run times, and you can swap them out with freshly charged ones when the run down.

Been using them for over 6 years without any issues whatsoever. 90% of laptops use them in their battery packs as well as in portable USB battery packs (and thousands of other regularly used lithium powered products, cell phones, tablets..etc) that millions of people have around their children all the time without issue. It's not a problem at all unless your an idiot who would carry 18650's lose in their pockets instead of a case made for them (shorting out the contacts) or uses cheap low drain 18650's on high drain devices like vaping mods.

I'm aware of the danger. as long as trustworthy name brand batteries are used and they are taken care of and charged correctly, they are fine.

No information on whether the fan motor is brushless not not. From my experience with a bunch of dead portable fans with brushed motors, the tiny "brushes" contacts (be it copper or graphite) burn out in hundreds (or low thousands) of hours of use. The small axial depth of the motor (pancake-ish?) do suggest (but not confirm) that it is brushless (vs. another neat oscillating clip on fan like eBay# 272253753220 that appears brushed due to the motor housing profile).

The battery compartment seems to block airflow quite a bit. BTW the same fan sans battery can be had for $11 shipped from Asia, eBay# 291814185271 so $15 with battery and Prime is pretty good.

I've had good luck with $4~5 brushless portable USB/18650 fans from eBay, running almost 24/7 for 2 months so far without issue. Those fans don't have the convenient clip though.
