No Freesync or G-Sync, just a heads up.

Also, looks like you should steer clear of this monitor, as its reviews peg it as a poor purchase.

Edit: Don't believe me, check the reviews on Newegg. The screen is likely to fail around one year after purchase.

I just bought an LG 34UC88 for $710. And the flatscreen LG 34" is $500 cheapest. Is this such a poor monitor that it's discounted $200?

it's AOC. From my experiences that brand is terrible. I really wish dell had a 34" non curved so I could just get that. I've become a bit of a snob spoiled by ultrasharps. Things like freesync/gsync don't matter when you write code all day. Screen space and proper colors are more important than screen refresh.

AOC is not terrible I have had the $100 i2359V for 2 years its been great. However I would not spend more than $200 on their products, since their p/q is so low.

Not a good deal at all.

The LG 34UM95-C was $1 less three weeks ago. It's been around that price several times recently and is bound to return. Much better product and the same price so do yourself a favor, set a deal alert on the LG and be patient.

funny. the first 4 words completely contradict the rest. Yes at the $100 mark they're fine. $100 monitors are terrible though.

try an ultrasharp just once and tell me if you can look at an AOC again.

but everyone with 34" monitors are using LG panels anyway.

Yes, and AOC gets the ones that don't meet LG standards. I had the AOC and took it back within a week because i couldn't stand the backlight bleed.

While that's true, there still are somewhat significant differences in quality between the brand's. For example the Acer and AOC models only got a 98% color reproduction whole lg and Dell got a 99% and Samsung's VA panel ultra got a 100%. There are other comparisons out there, this is just an example.
