For reference: it was $165 from Adorama in July, also no tax in most states, including CA.

Good drive. I have two of them. Very good performance and reliability should be excellent. $200 new is a good price. I got one on prime day and another from jet with the triple15 coupon, so they were $165 and $180. However, those are coupon/sale specific prices.

I'll probably wait until I'm closer to my actual build (October/November timeframe) and keep my eye out for a better price. I picked one of these up on Prime Day for $143 shipped, just an incredible deal... I hope to RAID-0 two of these as my "data drive" and use a 1TB M.2 pushing 2+GB/s as my boot drive.

At this time, though, the price is just awesome.

Performance-wise, it's slow. It feels about 15-20% slower compared to my Samsung Evo 1tb.

I bought this drive on sale at BestBuy for $199. 30 days later it failed on me, so I RMA'd to Sandisk and sold the replacement they sent me on Ebay.

Unlike many non-ssd drives that I've seen fail, SSD's fail and fail HARD. I'm glad I smartened up and put a backup solution in place.
