Humble Bundle [humblebundle.com] is currently offering SOMA as an early unlock for the upcoming Humble Monthly Bundle for September.

If you subscribe now, you'll receive the game immediately. Additional mystery games (~5) will be unlocked on Friday, September 2nd at 1:00 PM ET. While your subscription is active, you'll also receive a 10% discount on all purchases from the Humble Store.

The cost to subscribe is $12, and could be as low as $10.80 if you've received a 10% coupon from purchasing recent Humble Bundles (applies to new subscribers only).

You can cancel your subscription at any time once you receive your Steam key for SOMA and you will still receive the mystery games on September 2nd.

humble monthly must be hurting, I see they added a prepaid option for 3, 6, and 12 months you get a slight discount for each. If you prepay for 12 months its $11 a month with a free month (13 total) but it's billed at $132 upfront with no refunds! I canceled my monthly subscription 'cause I got sick of the poop games and their new "original" content they started using as filler, that is even worse than their low end indie games, and aren't steam games. I'd rather have a choice of games like 10 options pick 6 each month, and they can still be a mystery until release day.

Is that 10% off coupon good for the prepaid options?

I'm not sure, I'm looking to see if I can see, but the 10% coupon was only "10% off your first month" anyway, so even if It did work it would only be worth $1.10

I looked around the site and couldn't find anything about being able to use the coupon, and customer service doesn't work weekends. So by the time I got an answer this thread will be dead. but like I said it was worded for only your first month anyway so it's basically a useless coupon. In my humble (monthly) opinion it's better just to pay the $12 month to month and just turn it on and off (so to speak) each month based on the featured game. I joined in May because I wanted Mad max, and was happy with May and June's games. I wasn't interested in Hurtworld, but forgot to cancel in time so I resold the key, but didn't like that months games. I canceled after that because the Call of Duty multiplayer only didn't interest me, and good thing I did because the other 2 gems of van helsing and jackbox party pack I already had. Soma doesn't interest me so I will stay canceled for now. So as far as im concerned doing it this way I've already saved myself $24, so it's already more than the $12 I would save by signing up for the year and I don't have to shell out $132 all at once and be flooded by blah games I need to figure out what to do with.
