Just FYI.. This is not a battery operated speaker. It is 'portable' because it is small. It will still need to be plugged in to the wall.

Is this legit B & O or they finally sold their name to a Chinese company to make whatever they want like Nakamichi?

Also, is this going to outshine my Nokia Play 360 speaker cube? That is the best I've heard in a small BT speaker. I regret not buying 2 when it was on clearance from MS store.

has pretty good reviews, though wouldn't expect anything less from B&O. this might be the least expensive product from them, I wonder how nice it actually sounds... seems like a decent price, may bite later tonight

$129 new on Amazon. Comments point to the importance of making sure most recent firmware update has been applied.

It needs to be plugged in to a power source?

Thanks, I did not realise that.

thank you for pointing this out, i was not paying close enough attention...

also, looks like it uses a separate AC adapter and not powered over USB, so reduces the chance of powering this thing from a portable battery. can't find much about the electrical specs, and also not sure how that would impact the sound output...

also, this thing is way bigger than i thought it would be!

B&O makes great sounding speakers! Sound also depends on the quality of the source! It sounds like the file reliever is playing is not high quality to begin with!

A Quick Google search shows that it has very high sound quality and had good ratings. The only downside I see is that bluetooth seems to lag a bit and is problematic if you watch videos.

After shopping for a bluetooth speaker for the home for a long time i realized the best solution was right under my nose

Hooked up my Airport Express i purchased for $75 to a soundbar + wireless subwoofer system via an aux cable

Now I can Airplay from any device directly to the speakers without any skipping or cutting out

Costs the same as a Mega Boom or a Bose Soundlink II / SoundTouch 20 system and blows it out of the water

Any powered book shelf speakers and sub will work with an Airport Express and if you have tons of Apple devices it really is an elegant solution
