Only 1 or 2 size/color combos at that price, but still some decent deals. I saw several additional size/color combos between $88 and $95. These are GREAT shoes.

Without a doubt, these are the best trail runners ever. They have exactly one con: if you wear them on concrete the sole's will get trashed very quickly. I find that they last a couple of years if I wear them strictly on trail.

Awesome shoes, incredibly grippy and have saved my toes over hundreds of miles of rocky terrain. I have 2 pairs. Definitely have an issue with durability though; the incredibly grippiness comes at the cost of longevity. Basically get destroyed within a few hundred miles

$69.61 in my size, only in black, other colors significantly more. I guess the black is the least-worst looking though, as these may be the ugliest shoes I've ever seen. Was hoping for something else I guess, so I'll pass.

I purchased the grey ones recently but wasn't planning to use them for trail running as much as I would for just walking around. Do you think walking around on concrete/pavement will trash the bottom quickly as well? Or is it really just running?

I did hear that the bottoms are soft so running on concrete is not recommended. I'm assuming the softness helps with the grip on trails.

I am on my second pair of these that I used solely for running trails. The soles are phenomenal for grabbing slick, muddy trails and maintaining your traction.

That said, I don't think that walking on pavement would make them wear out sooner, though if you wore them for hours on end on pavement, they may have a shorter life - just depends on how much time you spend on the hard surface. My first pair fell apart after 2 years mainly due to running through mud constantly, the soles still look great.

I do wear them when I walk on pavement before running (like in the parking lot of my favorite park) and that has not hurt them.

Hope this helps.

just bought a pair of speedcross on eBay, $45 shipped.... from China.

they came in what looked like an official Salomon box, with tags. I just wore them for the Asheville Spartan Super and they were great. much more comfortable than the Innov8 Mudclaws that I usually wear & the grip probably was slightly less with the Salomon's, but still pretty damn good.

I bought these last year and they're great. They run very small. I would recommend a full size up!!

I've used Merrell's trail running shoes for the last couple of years and haven't had much to complain really.. Are Salomon's better than Merrell? Just curious as to whether I should try this out.

I can't help wearing them on concrete. I just want to wear my Salomens all the time.

anyone have input if these would be good as a mountain biking flat pedal show? since these have lots of knobs on the sole to grab pedals well?

Yeah they'll get trashed plus they really aren't great walking shoes anyways. These are high end trail running shoes and designed specifically for that purpose.
