A fine timepiece is more about wearing a piece of jewelry, not telling the time (we have cell phones for that now). Certain models will appreciate too, like my white faced SS Daytona that's gone up 40% since I purchased it 6yrs ago. I've enjoyed wearing it for that time and could sell it used for 4K more than I paid for it.
42mm in case anyone was wondering.... Awesome deal!

This is not far off from what I paid for my new 1st generation Planet Ocean a few years ago. I am really hoping this post does not get me into trouble. Lol.

I got 46mm one and love it. In-house movement with incredible precision. I had Omega measure mine and it was +/- 1s

FYI the 45.5mm with the SS Bracelet is on this flash sale as well for $3,935, which is still a pretty rocking price.

A little cheaper 45.5 if you go with the rubber as well: http://www.jomashop.com/omega-wat...01005.html

Also note that there are three different versions of this watch on sale for the same price, including one with a retina-searing orange bezel and orange strap. Also one more with the orange bezel and SS bracelet for another hundred bucks, and the GMT version for another grand.

Somebody in a prior thread claimed that they got one of these from an AD for something like 38% off, IIRC. But that barely sounds credible, unless you walk in with a stack of hundreds and get one of the salespeople right after they smoked a few doobies on their last day of work before quitting to join a roving band of acrobats.

But even that is not as great a discount as this, and in my state at least it would be another $200+ in tax.

The 46 is nice, but how big is your wrist? 7.5 minimum?

I really like the GMT, if it's the one I'm thinking about. I think it's a 44mm which is perfect for me, but an extra $1000? Can't touch that. good stuff though!!

I doubt you'll find this for much less than this, if you ever do find it for less. No tax in my state makes it even more attractive for me. Tax saves me $360! Someone claims they purchased from an AD for close to this price? Difficult to believe. Don't plan on finding that deal. Not even close.

7.25" and they look perfect. Omega's cases are shaped in a way that allows them looking just right on almost any wrist. I had 45-mm Breitling that looked obnoxiously hugelaugh out loud. The PO is bigger but looks just right (and it's my favorite watch).
