Ordered one of these in July for $10 more. Returned it because it was out of focus. Not sure if this is a trend...

Capacitors don't have the tendency to swell/explode/light on fire as a battery does when experiencing extreme heat in your car.

CiBest seems like a knockoff. The legit version is made by Viofo

Been looking for a budget dashcam mine started acting up and I keep getting weird artifacts while its recording. Which I think was caused by the sun even though it was heat resistant.

Thanks OP.

From Amazon buyer: when the car is turned off, the date/time information goes back to January 1. So if you want to have date and time of any incidents while driving, you have to remember EVERY TIME to set the correct date and time when you start the car. I don't know what the capacitor in this camera is supposed to be doing if it can't keep the date and time setting when you shut the car off.

really good price

From my experience with this camera bought in July, the date/time wasn't reset upon power recycle.

I just bought one and so far so good. Keeps the time/date fine and has decent video quality. Great small form factor, happy with it for the price.
