Yeah but how much cheaper are we talking after Labor Day? Maybe another $20-$40 off? It's easy to say suck it up when you already have AC.
I have the previous model. Its cools super fast but there are some quirks. My filter rattles a lot, I take it out and curl it to make it rattle less. Also my power button on the unit is wacko. all the other buttons are fine, and the remote is fine. When you touch the power button on the AC is either wont react or it will over react and act like you pressed it 10x. Hope this is better, if not be aware.

Or you could suck it up for 3 weeks, then snag a post-Labor Day clearance model. I saw big pallets of Halloween candy being delivered already. They'll have to clearance out all the summer seasonal and Back to School stuff to make room on the floor for it.

BJ's Wholesale has this for $199.99, but the Target deal is definitely a better deal with the coupon / 5% target card discount.

They even have the 5000 BTU model for $149.99 - helping my parents install this later today.

You will have to cut a huge hole in your wall. Not sure if you want to do that. The problem with that is, what do you when the AC fails? Now you have to take it out of the wall and you have a big hole in the side of your house. You have to find an AC that is around the same size now. Not worth it in my opinion.

If you are willing to spend a little more and have a small hole in a window or somewhere to exhaust I'd suggest getting a portable AC unit. I got a 10k BTU unit in my basement and it works great.

Yes, I've gotten them 1/2 off @ Target before, but they go pretty quick. But probably not for another month or so.

They first sell them for 30% off, then 50%.
