Personally, I wouldn't get this TV because of the high motion blur. If you're planning on using this TV for sports, somewhat serious gaming, or even a monitor, it won't perform the same way as some of the other high end TVs that are smaller in size.

With that aside, if all you care about is size, this is an amazing price for it. Especially @ 4k.

Regular price is $1,649. $400 manufacturer's discount is valid 8/15/16 through 9/11/16. While supplies last.
Does anyone know if tax is applied to the $400 rebate as in the case of mail in rebates?
$50 shipping fee applies and most likely taxed too.

2 big things missing on a set this size local dimming and 120hz, if that is not there you have a sub par quality panel. So what if 4k when you have grey/muddy blacks and ghosts. I am not even taking on the HDR argument since it should not be a remote expectation at this price but local dimming and 120hz real as a min really is. Buy at your own risk...

Tax on full price (before instant rebate) at my Costco and likely the same elsewhere.

Nah. Vizio D and M are surprisingly good dark room TV's from a price:performance perspective. E is an outlier because it has high motion blur. The other Vizio TV's deliver nice blacks and contrast but with lower peak brightness than Sammy's, which means they look good in a basement or theater but aren't the best fit for a living room. They do have crazy low response times, input lag, and motion blur which makes them ideal gaming sets and good sports sets.

Which one would you guys recommend between the 70" E70U-D3 and the 65" M65-D0 from Vizio at the same price point currently at Costco?

Also the Samsumg 65" KU6300 series is available at the same price right now.

Any ideas?

70" for me but of course it depends on what you're mainly using it for. Gaming, Sports, Computer Monitor?

Better deal to just get the set from Vizio.com and sign up for their newsletter - possibly no tax and 5% off with the newsletter. Showing as $1234.99 shipped for me.
