This movie is region free. Amazon's region B marking is not correct. The 3D is not being released in the US. So for $2 more than what Amazon.com charges for Blu-ray you can have the 3D version. eBay prices are $40+. The 3D is very good in this movie.

Limited Edition Steelbook (Blu-ray 3D + Blu-ray) is also available for $35 shipped

Link [zavvi.com]

This title will be released on August 22, 2016.

probably because it's from Amazon UK. I don't think the digital copies from Europe work in the US. This seems like a good deal.

If they come with a digital code you can activate it with a VPN.

I'm not sure why the digital copy is not included, that being said digital copies from Europe do work in the US using VPN (Hola chrome extension). The Australian version does include digital HD but not the UK version

The Jungle Book 3D is on my want list from the UK because it's not sold in the US. The only thing stopping me from buying this now is knowing that every other Disney 3D release has been on sale for $15 or less at some point from Amazon or Zavvi. Unless there is reason to believe it's going out of print soon, I will wait for a similar deal.

Not for Disney. Disney use their own cloud service for US only and international items aren't eligible for DMA. There have been a couple workaround for US items being redeemed in the US via proxy, but I think even most of those have been blocked

Unless you want it now or prefer the Steelbook not an unreasonable plan. For those that need the Digital or prefer US only items, Disney has basically said it's "Coming Later This Year" in the US just like with TFA.
Of course it most likely will be $25+ at most places though that's always unpredictable esp if they release in Holiday season

No, not for Disney. For many UV titles this is true, but some won't feed in to Vudu because of non matching alid.

Just an advisory: If you order from Amazon UK, don't expect to receive it the next week. I ordered a blu-ray from them (1st experience, so I don't know if it's typical) and it shipped on the 9th. Won't receive it until the 23rd, assuming that it arrives when they now say it will. Going forward, I'll be ready for it, but I initially thought that they'd be able to do a little better than that.

How do you know the Region B marking is incorrect?

Click on the images in the op. I circled it. This is region A/B/C. Also it has already been out in Australia, confirmed being region free. I ordered the Steelbook version and it has already been shipped.

First direct reports of the UK item also being Region Free now being reported from UK purchasers who got early delivery. Expected, but always nice to get confirmation

Do you have a source for this? It would be a new low for Disney if this is the case because at least with Star Wars they didn't announce they would eventually do 3D BEFORE the regular Blu-ray came out. If they know they are going to release it why not release it at the same time? And the other difference AFAIK it wasn't like Star Wars came out in 3D elsewhere but not here...
