My goodness, it makes me really have buyers remorse when I see deals like this!! I think this is close to as good as it gets even though it is refurbished.

At 5lbs I wouldn't call it an Ultrabook but looks good otherwise.

This laptop can be under 4lb if they reduce the bezel size. dell xps 15 is the size/weight of a normal 13inch laptop. GO copy that!

If I am not mistaken, the warranty is offered by Asus directly, not Woot. So if any problem occurs, I think you can directly contact Asus for that matter.

i was joking about 4th gen and shipping i don't know if i can touch another ANUS ever again. I no longer buy but told someone else to buy whatever so they bought ANUS. About 6 month later keyboard stopped working. ANUS refuses to pay for shipping, their support is so stupid. I remember shipping to texas for repairs but it takes weeks and return paperwork was written in chinglish so i think they actually ship rma's to china.

Is the new gen cpu worth waiting for or just marketing BS to get more $$$?

I highly doubt shrinking the bezel is going to lop off a pound. Also there's very little architecturally different between Core i7 gen 4 and gen 6, not enough to warrant the extra money you're going to spend for it.

I am an Asus fanboy, and really like their Zenbooks (for the $$), I have 4 of them in the house, upgraded all of them in one way or another, and haven't had any problems with them (or any of my Asus stuff that hasn't been in the first 30 days so handled by the retailer). I dread the day that I have to deal with ASUS support from what I hear, but I have interacted with JJ and Raja a couple of times and they were pretty helpful when Google wasn't.

As far as this guy, it is pretty chunky for an ultrabook, I dunno that I would call it that. It looks like a really nice package though, see Lisa MobileTechReview here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uyIskitqxcM

Personally, at least one of my Zenbooks could use an upgrade, but given USB3.1 type-c/Thunderbolt 3, GeForce 10 series mobile out shortly which is a HUGE jump, and given the size of this guy (I like my ultrabooks to be lighter than 5 lbs), I can wait. I know, a person can wait forever on new tech, but once 10 series mGPUs land I think one of those will do for another few years, and USB3.1/Thunderbolt 3 are huge. I don't know of anything coming in the next year or two that are nearly as fundamental of an upgrade.

Plus, I don't want to relive any of the nightmares I have read about when it comes to Woot and refurbished that I have read here. I was a wooter when they started wasting money on BOC's, and they had good deals IMHO (still have my poop brown 30GB Gen 1 Zune which still works), but seems like they have gone to crap :/.

That said, I don't think you can do better for the $$ right now than this guy, so if you need something with these specs right now, it looks like a great deal, hopefully the laptop is in good shape and you don't need woot or ASUS support.
