Its your standard 24 inch monitor, stretched with extra pixels on each side. Its exactly the right resolution for 1080p, regardless of what people in this thread are saying.

I own the 34 inch version of this, and am picking this up to mount ontop as a secondary monitor. Freesync only works with AMD gpus, but its still a good looking monitor for use with ultrawide screen gaming (which is supported more often than you think with newer games. its working more often than it isnt, and when it isnt, its just a 24 inch monitor with black bars on the side).

tl:dr yes, a 34 inch 1440 panel is better, but an aston is better than your civic too. for 200 this isn't bad if you want to game on it.
1080p is perfectly fine for 29" ultrawide. 29" UW is the same height as 16:9 23", just wider.

Good if it works for you since this has some nice bells and whistles(IPS, nice size, freesync) but 1080 is a dead technology. It's actually a step backwards for computer monitors since 29" absolutely needs greater than 1080 to look good.

Props to the op for finding a deal, but it's like finding a deal on DVD movies.

1080P is definitely not dead technology. 1080P marks the affordable price range for both gamers and office works.

I have this monitor for my desktop at work. I see everyone mentioning the image quality of the monitors since it's only 1080p. FWIW, I think the image quality is fantastic, but I'm not doing any gaming. The monitor is excellent for side-by-side working windows. At this price, I'm tempted to pick up a second for a dual monitor setup. If you're only using it for gaming, you may want something better, but for work and video streaming, this is a steal at this price.
