Nice price for the pair compared to purchasing them separately.

How do these compare to the Polk Monitor II 70 speakers I have?

Monitor 70s are considerably better. More and bigger drivers with basically the same tweeter. These are the replacement for the Monitor 50.

The Rti-8's go on sale pretty regularly for $120 per tower, and are way better than these.

Sorry for the slightly off topic post, but figured I could get some decent feedback... Anyone have a suggestion for a center channel. I'm looking for quality, but unfortunately value is most important to me right now. Thanks

In the search field, type "center channel speaker" or the name of one you know (Polk CS2 or CS1 come to mind), select the threads with lots of posts/thumbs, and there should be pages of discussion about pros/cons/value etc.

Cant go wrong with a Polk CS2 or CS1 as someone else mentioned. I purchased the CS2 on sale awhile back and am happy with it.

Agreed. Thumbs up on the CS2.

I got these last time around. I'm not an audiophile but these sound great in my theater room. I honestly couldn't tell much difference for the monitor 70 to justify the price increase

I love it's extra noiseless sound.

I always see great deals for floor standing speakers but am never sure if I can use them for my purpose.

I have a set of turntables and am always wanting to get speakers for them. I don't plan on abusing them just like listening to vinyl. Would speakers like this be ok?

Thanks for the input.

These would be fine but personally I'd go with a pair of monitors

They would be fine as long as you have something to power them
