How is this considered a sale anymore? I feel like every other week these are on sale for 100 bucks. It looks like this should be considered the normal price for these at this point. Am I missing something?

I wouldn't be hunting for Bluetooth unless you absolutely need it (can't think of many occasions when you would). You'll take a $100 set of speakers and make them sound like mud.... aka the equivalent of a $20 or less set.

I'm very curious about these speakers and looking for input. I have a stereo set currently that do an awesome job but they have an annoying "feature" where they turn off after 30 minutes of no use.

It's a little more colored favoring bass, which can be good or bad depending on the type of music. That's what I read in the reviews for these before deciding to plop down and get their higher end version which is more neutral but tinted towards the lower frequencies. The reason I chose the higher end is when I'm selecting music for my song collection, I want to hear the details for when I play them out when doing shows.

My personal opinion is no. They just don't have the clarity and depth that a set of mixing monitors do. I recently listened to these, the JBL 305s, the KRK Rokit 5s, and the Alesis Elevate 3s. I went with the KRKs because they had a nicer overall fullness for my liking. Of course the price point is going to be much higher at $150 each.

I would say these are on par with the Alesis Elevate 3s. But again, it's all subjective.
