They only run this price a few times a year on this particular model. Matches a +30 deal from a while back.

$599 - 10% movers coupon (these are easily available online for free....just google lowes coupon if you don't know where to get them).

Has a consumer reports score of 75 and is rated "Very Good".

TIP: If you have a low tax store in your area (for me its Paterson, NJ at 3.5 vs the normal 7% in NJ), change your store there and save tax $$$. I think any lowes within 30 miles will deliver to you.

Reno has the 10% off.

This dw looks like a good deal, was looking at a Whirlpool that's $499 that looked nice too.

We bought this dishwasher and love it! Make you have a drying agent and you're set.

How is at drying ? We had one without the heat dry and would never get another one like that.

It has a heat dry function but still performs best with a drying agent (as per manufacturer's testing). I've heard ppl say that white vinegar works as well but wasn't working so well for me, perhaps I didn't do it right though. Regardless, definitely like the look, feel, and functionality of this dishwasher. I paid much less than this price because I bought it from a local business that sells scratch 'n dent items only. Would still recommend it at this price over any whirlpool or comparable dishwashers.

I'm currently building a house and trying to decide on this or a Bosch (either 500 series or Ascenta). I know the pricing is a bit different, but I can't decide if the extra bit of money is worth it for the efficiency and all of the people who say they love their Bosch.

Anyone have any comments to help me sway one way or another?

If it matters, it's just my husband and I. Typically do 1-2 loads a week, depending on how busy we are or if I am around to cook.

We bought a dishwasher from Lowe's last year. It took almost three months between walking into the store (shut up and take my money!) to actually getting the thing installed. First they wanted a contractor to come out and measure our space to make sure it would fit - two weeks. Only then would they order the dishwasher from whatever warehouse - six weeks. Only after it arrived would they make an installation appointment - three weeks.

I don't know if it was my particular Lowe's, but ... oy.

I don't know about these particular models, but one of the "high efficiency" features common in dishwashers is having its own heater. This means you heat only the water you use, instead of drawing from the typical american hot water tank. It's not as fantastic if you use an instant gas water heater, which would be more efficient and already paid for. But if you're only doing 1-2 loads a week, you'd probably never recoup the money.

We've had our Kitchenaid for 1 year now and we love it. It has 3 racks, cleans very well and super quiet. No problems with it. We had the stainless Bosch version with 3 racks and it was quiet but every time we ran it, the kitchen smelled strongly of asphalt. After running cleaners of all kinds for 1 month, many calls to Bosch and several repairmen, we returned it for the Kitchenaid. The techs said that the smell is normal. The middle of the door is coated with Bitumen which is a noise deadening petroleum byproduct and smell should dissipate within a year. Happy with our decision to go with the Kitchenaid.
It also dries ok without a drying aid, but not as well as older, non efficient dishwashers.

Make sure to clean out the filter in these new high efficiency washers often!

Looks like this model # KDFE104DSS is for the same sale price but higher normally and it has front controls. Wonder which one is better. Reviews on both are pretty good though... Here's the link for this one.

Damn sounds like they gave you the run around big time. I would have insisted on some kind of discount and I mean more than 10% lol. I once when in there and wanted to get my extra 5% off with my card and also use a coupon, was told you can't use both. I gave the manager shit, he ended up giving me the extra discount out of his wallet just to get me out of there.

I'm also deciding on this one or the Bosch rated best buy by CR the SHX3AR75US, it's about the same price.
