Well what do you want? A glorified tablet, or a full on Windows 10 pro operating system

I'll believe it when I see it. I would love to see these tablets start dropping in price because an MSRP of $1,300 for the i5/8gb/256 SP4 not even factoring in the keyboard is just ridiculous. "Full PC in a tablet form factor" or not, that is just way overpriced for what it is. It's a dual core CPU and you get like 7 hours of battery life, on the high side. It should be $1,000 WITH the keyboard. At most. The Core M/4gb/128gb version MSRP is $900 freaking dollars. And the real problem is they feel totally justified in charging these prices now due to the outrageous iPad "Pro" pricing.
The only feedback on could find on sellers surface pro sells

Buyer beware! it's cheaper bc IT'S NOT NEW. Used surface pro sold as new. Shame

Is this a good price? Been wanting a pro 4 to replace 5 year old laptop. Does Word and all that come preinstalled?

Well if price means more to you then this deal would be the obvious answer as there's no way the Transformer 3 Pro is going to cost the same as this. That's a new product, this price is intended to get rid of them because the SP5 is coming soon.

We don't even know for sure how much the Transformer 3 Pro costs and have yet to see any benchmarks, so it's hard to make a definitive judgement on it. But there's no way an 8gb/256gb version of that is going to cost $900.

Supposed to be 999 for 8GB and 799 for Non pro... Some speculate it may even come with 8GB or 16gb standard.. Ofcourse asus wont hold price so it may drop fast. I'm waiting for ASUS or pro 5 because Im not buying any non USB c charging tablets any more..
