-10 score? That CPU is worth the price alone.

Seems like a pretty good price, especially if you can use all 6 cores. This is basically a Sandy Bridge-E system, and probably the cheapest way to get > 4 cores unless you can find a deal on a dual socket board.

Specs aren't bad for the era, but you'll likely want more ram, and SSD and a better graphics card. At least it has a 600W PSU though.

Specs
E5-1650 (6 Core Sandy Bridge E, 3.2-3/8GHZ)
8GB DDR3 Ram (8 slots for quad channel operation)
4x usb3 ports (2 front, 2 rear)
5x usb2 ports (4 rear, 1 front)
250GB HD
DVD Burner
Quadro NVS 295 Video Card (displayport outputs)
Gigabit LAN
Some kind of audio
Very heavy case (it's 39 pounds!)
Windows 10

I'd expect the chip to keep up with a Skylake i5 6400 (maybe even a 6500) for general usage, and will beat a stock i7 skylake if you can use all 6 cores. Not bad for a $390 system that includes a windows license.

Great specs; keep in mind CPU is rated at 130w.

dual e5-2670s (16 cores/32 HTs) might be a better deal

Do you have a link to one in a comparable price range (<$500)?

Is there an actual deal with those configurations? Or are you saying that to compare the price with performance?

2670 is around $60 apiece, good candidate for cheap but super powerful DIY

A bit faster than the Dell deal (https://slickdeals.net/f/9051503-dell-poweredge-t20-server-xeon-e3-1225-v3-4gb-ddr3-1tb-hdd-279-free-shipping?page=10#comments), but not sure if it's worth the price.

If this was from HP and you could get $50 Amex off than it would be better in line.
