No tuner? So the HD antennas don't work with this TV?

Why? A high % of prospective buyers don't use a tuner and it's a fixed per TV cost to include one. Vizio obviously sees the marginal decrease in production costs as worthwhile. Pass some savings on to users, keep some profit, everyone (except cord cutters) wins.

As for the deal itself, Vizio usually makes nice TV's for their price, but this year's E series is a dog. Check rtings. Really high motion blur and latency makes them trash for sports, action movies, gaming. Weird since the D's, M's, and P's have some of the best motion blur and latency scores in the business, and it may be something Vizio can address through firmware. I'd recommend avoiding for the time being or moving down market to the D.

Cord cutters win too. All a cord cutter needs is an HDMI input; everything else should be streamed. There's a very small subset that uses tuners at all while cord-cutting; local channel content really isn't that great.

all this Vizio TV with no tuner is going to be falling like a pack sands, removing tuner from a TV already depreciates the market value of that TV.

You can buy an external tuner for like $10. Why would you ever not buy a TV because it doesn't have a tuner?

No HDR? Might as well get the 65" LG that both Sam's & Target have this week for $999

I guess my pain threshold is a bit higher than yours. I'm just looking for a good display, I can tack my own user interface onto it.

Not sure why youre getting downvoted. Local channels are generally available through other sources.

Not to thread crap but dell just ran the Vizio 70" m series for essentially this price after giftcard/reward. I'd probably wait to see if that deal runs again if you didn't already jump on it.
