I find my need of a drill press pretty rare, I had a nice laser one and never took it out of the box; just sold it a couple months back. I just learned to get handy with my drill. That, said, I don't do woodworking, but all kinds of DIY, reno, and construction.

If you're like me, the biggest use for something like this would be when you don't want to overdrill through. Little tip: get your desired depth measured and put a piece of painter's or electrical tape on the drill bit (they also have rings you can clamp on) and use that as your guide.

Pretty good deal, matches Amazon's best price but you can use a home Depot discount coupon match or something to knock off another 10% bringing it down to 55. Not to shabby. Not I just need to determine if I need a drill press or not.

Been waiting for this deal for months. Thanks OP. I specifically wanted the Wen 12 inch. The ability to change speeds without changing belts is AWESOME. Of course, my dad JUST gave me a hand me down 10" Drill Press 3 days ago! Oh well, off to Craigslist it goes!

I'd like a drill press, but 17% off does not seem like much to me

Bought this one years ago from sears, the off-gassing of the paint was so bad it had to be put outside in the sun for days to become bearable.
