ConsumerC is cheaper and on AT&T and TMobile network - so coverage must be better
Being on AT&T voice quality is better

With MetroPCS, I am considering the lowest priced family plan.

I am considering either one and planning to port my number from AT&T

Any recommendation in choosing one or the other?

Update:
I am not so much concerned about phone prices and selections available - I am concerned with the Voice Quality & Coverage?

As far as coverage goes, that's very dependent upon your family's usage and location, but be sure to get phones that include band-12 or you will miss out on many of the network upgrades of the past few years that extended range and building penitration.

As far as voice quality, I've been on MetroPCS since early 2015 and it's what you'd expect from a top tier cell phone provider. Newer phones that are T-Mobile or MetroPCS branded have HD-voice which may only be for calls on the same network.

Being a mobile phone, I am expecting coverage nationwide - where I am all these providers have good coverage for the most part.

My put down is also TMobile - there is evidence that they are sneaky - just a few days ago they were fined for being sneaky. TMobile owns a large % of the Metro company.

Also, I would not buy T-Mobile phones anymore because they are crippled - compare LG B450 (works only on TM) to LG B470 (works on both) - TM did this for such an entry level phone - unlocking with TM is also a hazzle now.

I'm not familiar with the exact model in your example, but many of their less expensive phones are free with a number port and/or new line of service on MetroPCS. Unless you're getting iPhones or Nexus multi-carrier phones, getting the most quality out of their service (Voice over LTE, Wi-Fi calling, etc.) is best with a carrier branded phone.

People are generally very happy with the ZTE ZMAX Pro that was and may still be available for $40 with number port when activating a new line.

Good luck!
